Saima had managed to get some nice flowers - a kind that they remember McKenzie mentioning to them at least in a small throwaway comment. Yet those kinds of comments were the ones that had a way of hanging on to in random ways. “Consider them a late gift. But yeah, I do believe you mentioned being fond of these. The least I could do was try to gather some of these precious flowers for you.“

Rain patters on the window as Cooper enters the little shop, bell tinging as the door swings closed behind him. As much as enjoys this kind of weather, it has a tendency to leave him smelling like wet dog, so he tries to avoid it as much as possible.
Taking stock of his surroundings with a quick glance, Cooper makes his way up to the little counter.
“I’ll have a... w a i t. Are those muffins?”

“Hey, sweetheart. “ Root hums as she leans against the door frame, watching Laura with a raised eyebrow at catching her in such a weird position. “You seem kind of busy.. “ Still, it doesn’t deter her from coming inside and making herself comfortable in the first place he finds. This friendship was not quite new anymore, but still rather fresh. Not that Root cared, she was not the one for proper decorum in her private time.
“Jessica really can’t learn, and as her boyfriend is just as much of a dick right now, I locked them out of the internet and blocked their phone’s data. Don’t worry, you still have access. But please pretend you don’t if they ask, would you do that for me? “ Cue the puppy eyes and sugary sweet smile.

When her friend isn’t looking, she quickly snaps a photograph of him on her camera. Shortly afterwards a picture starts to emerge from its top. “I just got this polaroid! Isn’t it neat?”

Hanging out with McKenzie, Saima had long become able to recognize when their friend had gotten caught up in a daydream. It was something that they were often prone to doing from time to time - so they were in no position to judge them for zoning out for a bit. Instead, they gave a warm smile as if to greet McKenzie whenever they came to from their reverie.
Seeing that returned smile, only confirmed Saima’s awareness of their friend having returned. “Hello to you too stranger. Welcome back!“ They laugh at the idea at the description of ‘McKenzie and Co.’ “McKenzie and Co, where a zone out is often likely to happen - by the host.. or by the company!“
