Man I loved this fic. LOVED this fic. A fantastic celebrity AU, plus they're both celebrities in this one which is EXTRA fun (to me). And there's suuuucchhhhh a cute backstory for them that I'm OBSESSED with. I don't want to give it away but lowkey it's one of my favorite things I've ever seen someone do in a faberry fic - it's just SO cute.
So the thing about this fic is - it is incomplete. I know!! It sucks!! But I took a chance on it, and I think you should too!! Under the cut here, I'm going to give some spoilers for where the story is at when it ends, in case anyone is really picky about incomplete fics and wants to know what they're getting into. But for the record, I found it completely worth the read and still recommend it regardless.
Still not going into deep detail here, but at the time the story ends, faberry ARE dating!! There's still a lot of things left unresolved, but it's nothing really bad and I can certainly see how things were soon going to tie up. The author themselves said in a closing note in one of the last chapters that we weren't too far from the end.
And the thing is, this story is a slow burn. So if that's your thing like it is mine, then it's already worth it. Because we get the slow burn and we get the pay off of the slow burn. And it's soooo good.

probably winning my first hockey tournament back in high school. it was pretty much an ice breaker tournament, so it was right at the beginning of the season. just being able to overcome such a opposition by working with people you hardly know, felt really good.

Ah, lovely Anon, excellent question! CJ and I sincerely apologize for keeping you all waiting. The beginning of July is actually a crazy time for both of us. Our birthdays are the first week, compounding our various Fourth celebrations, and around this time, we both take vacations. Right now, CJ is enjoying her family in Jersey in an area where Internet and cell reception is spotty at best.
The chapter is just about done, we only have to tighten up a few things and discuss a few others, which we will certainly do when she gets back! Plus, it’s long, lol. So thanks for your patience, it’s almost ready! Promise!
Have you stopped writing Pitch Perfect fic for good?
No, Anon, I haven’t. Similarly to how Stone Hard grabbed me by the neck and kept me hostage until I pounded it all out, this Rookie Blue fic has done the same. While I haven’t abandoned my Pitch Perfect fic, it is on hold. I’m not really wired to be able to do multiple stories, so all my energy has to go to one fic. I’m sure I will eventually come back to Pitch Perfect eventually!
