Inktober Day #17: Journal

These are excerpts from a journal recovered from a home in rual Maine. The home is now a crime scene because of the death of the 28 year old resident who had only lived in the home for a few months.

Hi everyone! Jacqueline here with day #17 of Inktober! I tried to make this drawing a little more journal-like by adding those ripped pieces of paper. Hope you all enjoy!

Inktober 2024 - Journal

Today was definitely a day and I thought I would not be able to finish this drawing in time. The original concept was in fact completely different, but when I was walking home I met a hedgehog and I was reminded of a kinda vent message I once sent to a good buddy regarding another hedgehog I met on the way home after bad day and well… I figured if I kept a journal or diary of some sort it would more or less look like this xD

If anyone can't decipher my handwriting, the text in the picture reads:

"Today was the most fcked up day it could ever be, I was so done from every damn thing, but as I was walking home late evening, night in fact, a little hedgehog crossed the sidewalk in front of me, small, quiet step step step and jumped into grass, and the grass waved gently as the hedgehog walked through it, the light of the lantern shone on the blades, so the day wasn't so bad actually, it was wonderful even" Yeah xD

Also a tiny drawing of a smiling sun, because one homie threatened me with physical violence if I didn't draw it xDDD
