okay so i tried knitting for the first time enlisting youtube and my moms help, and i learnt the long tail cast on and the continental knit stitch! did a row of ten stitches and was very proud of myself, only to have to instantly unravel it when i screwed up starting the second row XD

here is some pictures i took of my ten proud stitches, i'll just redo it tomorrow :3

i tried following a beginner knitting tutorial and it just. wasn't clicking at all even though the people were very clear in explaining it. i tried my best replicating it but for the life of me couldn't, so i asked mom. she said she forgot how to cast on so we had no way of starting, but no problem! that part was actually very easy in the video i watched, i can do that part, right? well, yea, i could, but also mom was so confused when i handed her the needle as the whole thing was backwards :"D her actual reaction was what english nonsense is this, and basically that's how i found out that there are two ways of knitting lol

in the end i found a very thorough video of an old lady doing the long tail cast on in both the continental and the english way so i followed that, and from there all was well as soon as it clicked :D i'm planning on getting some thicker yarn to practice with, this grey one is actually two strands in one ball and it's a bit difficult to manage :D

Infinity Nikki fashion challenge #2 - favourite Ability Outfit piece

i have many favourites that i use in my saved outfits already so i decided to use one fave item i had a lot of trouble styling - i had no idea what to do with these bug-catching overalls which i loved from the moment i got them, but this works :3

looks like we're borrowing from oldschool runescape today, very nice

so yea i enjoy hfw but the graphics glitches sure are happening a lot :"D

so i finished outer worlds, got the very good ending, even got the moment where everyone i helped showed up to help me, a bit cliché but also heartwarming in a sense

greatly enjoyed the writing and the jokes and the worldbuilding, also loved the fact that i could bring people together - sometimes i looked up big decisions but was always happy to see that whatever i was planning to do was actually the right decision (i just seem to have horrible decision paralysis so that extra help was good)

tried to be mostly nice and civilised, but couldn't pass up some of the unhinged dialogue options, like this one

like i love that i can lie about changing clothes but also i did collect my wardrobe and weaponry off of the dead so yea, why not tell the truth to bellhop boy, maybe he will stay out of my baggage then :D

all in all i had a ton of fun, so to borrow from Josh: i give the game "would stick it to the Board anytime so much i actually had to look up the bad ending because i could never bring myself to do it, also ice-cream ftw"/10

okay, finished the main story and most of the sidequests of the Horizon franchise, and now i feel that amazing media is over emptiness that i so hate :"D

i had a lot of fun, haven't been able to focus on something like this for ages - wish i could replay the games, especially HZD for the first time, it's such a magical feeling and i haven't had it since my first toe-dips into botw. but this time it was even more intense, like this kind of post-apocalypse is just perfect for me, and the intrigue about the Old World was so strong it gripped me by my hand and never let go. i do feel like this mystery/strange old world part of the storytelling was a lot stronger in HZD, but i guess as Aloy learnt more and got used to stuff it was inevitable that some of the mysteries would be less difficult to piece together, or so strange to the characters. the thick plottened a lot regardless, and since i'm not really good at solving mystery stories it was perfectly paced for me, even if others would feel it to be predictable, i had fun being in the dark and only guessing half of the stuff right :D

also the games are fun to play and very pretty to look at, the world design and the machines are cool and i'm glad they pulled the trigger on the huge Chekov's gun looming over the maps, even though that fight made me sweat like crazy XD

i got a great many thoughts and feelings, but for now the most important question i have is Horizon 3 when and will it combine the strengths of the two games for an even greater story and gameplay experience - like if HZD had the climbing stuff from HFW it would be the perfect game for me (no i am not salty at all about the weird climbing in HZD, why do you ask)

subnautica is terrifying but fun

it is also very pretty and i already turned it into the sims with all the basebuilding i've been doing instead of looking for the cyclops or plot-related things :D it is a pattern with me that if a game lets me to build literally anything, that aspect will take over the whole thing lol

the motto for this one is "no titanium spent on decorative planters is wasted titanium"

since then i found a quilted bed blueprint so i might make that instead of the current bed but so far i'm happy with the progress :3

decided to put the various doorways into bubbles on a tree and it's starting to look cool :3

already went to the Blue Skies dimensions, so that side is progressing nicely :D the other side is for Nether and Aether shenanigans, and i'll have twilight Forest under the tree in a canopy-like thing (future project). i'll probably have a basement for the underdark gate, but i don't know yet, don't really know what that dimension is good for :D

my minecraft builds
