I accepted the #ALSIceBucketChallenge in memory of a dear family friend, Tutu Hamilton. The level of awareness this campaign has brought to ALS is invaluable. It's incredibly difficult to talk about such a terribly frightening disease like ALS, but this has started conversations, it's spreading information and knowledge. I personally want to thank every person who has participated in spreading the word, and for every penny donated.
