hi i was reading your novel we disappear and when i was reading the interview at the very end you mentioned something about a short film that had you, joseph gordon-levitt, and your sister in. i looked all over for it but couldn't find it. is it possible you remember the title?
It's called "Sugartown Traders," which was the name of the clothing store my sister owned at the time (she later sold the business, and she's a schoolteacher now). Joe did most of the work on it, including the music and editing. He used to have it online on his hitrecord site, but at some point I think a lot of those short films were taken down (I have no idea why). It's been a while since I've seen it, but it's really funny and tells an interesting storyline about shoplifting, crossdressing, the Fourth of July, shape-shifting, and murder.
