Before he walked across the stage, Yuri shook out his hands and exhaled a heavy breath through his lips. He just needed to get those jitters out so he could have fun performing his song for the audition. He was hoping for a part in RENT, but the experience in itself was fun for him and he would be happy no matter what. 

“Good afternoon!” Yuri greeted as he stepped to the middle of the stage so the directors and others watching could see him well. “My name is Yuri Berry and honestly... I’m just excited to audition and I’d be stoked with any part! Today I’m going to be singing, and rapping, a song for you that I wrote called ‘Bicycle’. I wrote it about... you guessed it- my bicycle!” He paused to let out a laugh, his personality shining through even though he was still a little nervous. “I wrote it about how riding it cheers me up when I’m feeling down. Okay. Here I go.” 

He started to play “Bicycle” on his guitar he brought out, softly singing and rapping while maintaining eye contact with the people in front of him from time to time. Whenever he wasn’t closing his eyes or lost too much in the song. Once he was finished, he grinned and bowed his head gently. “Thank you so much! Have a wonderful day!

Sawyer Cohen-Chang RENT Audition

sawyer walked up with a small smile on his face, looking at those in the room for his audition. "uh, hi there. my name is sawyer cohen-chang and i’m auditioning for roger, but um you can put me anywhere really,” he said, shooting another small smile at them, “i’ll be auditioning with an original song called euphoria.” he gave a slight nod and took a breath before his audition started. by the time he was done, he was slightly breathless and he looked at the others, “i uh, i hoped you like it, thank you for listening.”

Lottie rubbed her hands together as she made her way to center stage and gulped as she scanned the audience. She let out a breath before she cleared her throat. Lottie was happy that both Mathias and Jackie had helped her with this audition, since she was open to be trying new things and she wanted to be Mimi, but she knew if she couldn’t get the role. She would just be happy to be apart of this play. “Hello, my name is Charlotte Puckerman and I’m auditioning for Mimi Marquez. Please enjoy this rendition of Dead Girl Walking from Heathers musical. Also thank you for your consideration.” She cleared her throat before she started to sing.

Jisung Berry RENT Audtition

jisung walked up with a wide grin on his face, looking at those judging his audition. "hello! my name is jisung berry, and i will be auditioning for the part of mark cohen." he took a deep breath and waited for the music to start, singing through his audition flawlessly. once he was done, he once again smiled and bowed slightly, "thank you for your consideration."

Mercedes Jones Rent Audition

Mercedes hadn’t been on any stage in a long time, but she truly loved music, and signing with Reckless X, working with them it made her want to do more. Auditioning for Rent was something she chose to do on a whim but she wasn’t going in there and half assing anything. She was going to give her all as she always did. Standing backstage she tried to calm her nerves. It was time to get back to singing because it was what she loved to do, not because she had too. 

Hearing her name called, she put on a smile and walked out. “Hi guys, My name is Mercedes Jones and I am auditioning for Joanne. I know that you have plenty of people auditioning and I thank you for your time. Today I will be singing “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. Closing her eyes she got into character looking up to the audience and singing. Pouring everything she had into the song, and her performance. 

Once she was done she took a bow and smiled out. “Thank you so much for giving me a chance to show you what I have.” Walking off the stage she took a deep breath, one she didn’t know she was holding and sighed. Well it was in their hands now.

Leo Clarington- RENT Audition

Leo blew out a breath as their name was called, and rubbed their palms against the leg of their pants as they made their way to the stage. This is just a different kind of competition, they said to themselves. “Hello, I’m Leo Clarington and I’m here to support my brother and maybe surprise my boyfriend.  Maybe you have a spot for me in your show,” they explained.   They had already given their song choice to the piano player.  “This is Empty Chairs at Empty Tables from Les Miserables.” Leo took one final breath and began to sing.

Stevie’s audition for RENT 

Taking a deep breath, Stevie steps onto the stage, hand wrapped tightly around the neck of his guitar using it for a leverage. He smiles at those who are running the auditions, clearing his throat. “Hey uh, my name is Steven Evans.. Stevie Evans. I’ll be auditioning for... Roger, I guess. But any part is cool. I just play guitar so I thought maybe... anyway. I found this song and thought it was great, so here we go. It’s called The Pile.” He clears his throat and starts to strum the strings to the guitar and starts to sing.

Blaine Anderson - RENT Audition 

Blaine came into the audition room, smiling at his peers as he gave a cute little energetic wave. They all maybe friends to some extent but he still fully intended on keeping it professional. “Hi! I’m Blaine Anderson, and I’ll be auditioning for the role of Mark - but you’re obviously welcome to place me anywhere you see fit.” He said with a sweet smile as he handed over his audition paper work. “I’ll be singing the classic Hit Me Baby One More Time by America’s own Pop Princess, Ms. Britney Spears.” Clearing his throat gently, Blaine opened his mouth to sing.
