INM Cinematic Universe Series Organization

oKAY things were gettin CRAZY so I organized the INM cinematic universe into a few sub-series for people who either want to follow everything or only want to follow specific series. :) I will probably have to reorganize some stuff eventually, but this is for me as much as it is my readers HAHA.

it's not murder in every universe, sometimes it's just research and waste disposal

This is the overarching INM Cinematic Universe. Any future spinoffs will be added to this series (& maybe get their own sub-series - I have a future spinoff planned for WBGU), plus any random fics that don’t fit into any series.

it's not murder | canon

This is the main fic canon. Any fics in this series are canon to the main fic, just little offshoots that didn’t necessarily fit into the main canon. Once INM is complete, any future side fics with our INM boys specifically will be added to this (as well as the overarching INM:CU series)

it's not murder | divergent timelines

This contains any timelines that diverge from the main fic canon. This is where the heterochromia/travis fic sits, and moonset & moonrise. Any future fics that branch off the main fic will be here. These are canon in the sense that they're things that in their own timeline actually happened, if that makes sense.

INMCU | pre-canon

This will contain any pre-canon fics to both WBGU and INM. This is where the current Gloria & Marcus meet-cute fic is, and anything else I write that is pre-canon will go here.

when boys grow up | canon

This is the spinoff where the INM boys meet as kids instead. Any side fics that don’t fit in the main WBGU story will go in this series. I also have a specific spinoff/sequel planned for WBGU that will go here, once I get there.

Anything Else

If there are fics in the main INM:CU series that are NOT in a sub-series, these are NOT canon or divergent timelines and just fun little... what-ifs. The aquarium and Peter/Vox/Alastor fic are here. So basically if it exists in INM:CU series and not in any sub-series, it's not canon, just a fun little story.

I’ve been thinking about Moonset and Moonrise again recently and now I’m curious. following the first chapters timeline, how do you imagine their reunion in Hell went?

For moonset, that first scene is the reunion in the afterlife for them, but that could be imagined as a sort of purgatorial scene where Vox is waiting for Alastor so they can go together to Hell.

To be honest I think their reunion went “gotta find my guy” to “are you a fucking TELEVISION?!” and Alastor trying to swap Vox’s head out while Vox tries to pet his ears. 😭

I imagine Alastor ends up being okay with the TV-as-a-head bit once he realizes his face works as a sort of pocket dimension and he can fuck it without disfiguring/killing Vox.

I have a scene/chapter I wrote actually that covers their first meeting in Hell that I’ve put on Tumblr somewhere but I’m not sure it actually made its way to Ao3. I should edit and post that.

i just caught up with wbgu oml i hope the shadows terrorise v's parents more 😭

Maybe they can just....... turn off the lights when Peter’s going down the stairs and he falls and breaks all his bones.
