Truly the best year yet. We turned three in merry motion with a surprise waffle party that our dearest elves threw for us -- thank you dearest Michellelf and Gracelf. :)
(Special mention to our dearest sisters from Logue who sent us a Fleurapy jar of sunshine. They are truly our sisters whom we adore and really look up to.)
2014 also marks our very first step into our secret desire of crafting with the community. A special mention to our dearest Selene, Liwee, and Natalie for being world's most patient and sweetest ladies.
All of which we wouldn't have been able to have done without our dearest elf-for-life Jomaine. She was an integral part of the first part of our 2014 -- we toiled together, fought baby roaches and lizards in the dark, crafted pretty leaves till 2am, and sang frozen songs all day long. If you're reading this Jomie, we are so proud to call you our elf and we love you! <3
And yes, In Merry Motion was featured on Channel 5's On The Red Dot!! in an episode about youth risk takers and deal makers. We really don't consider ourselves "entrepreneurs" but it was very very humbling to be featured alongside a successful food establishment and an awesome fish monger. Thank you Minmin for reaching out to us! It was a great experience being mic-ed up, memorising stats, and learning to be oblivious to the camera as co-hosts as well!!
2014 also marks the birth of the cutest SUPERHEROES! Elvis the Eagleboy's power lies in his big wings to protect others and himself, Rauf the Snow Globe wants to make it snow so that we can play, and Eyman the little Masterchef's power is to cook anything she feels like eating!
We can't wait for the superhero parade in 2015!!
And lastly, 2014 brought us some of the most exciting opportunities. From a Chinese New Year installation set up at OCBC's main + flagship branches, to dreaming up + crafting the quirkiest & prettiest celebrations, to working with a huge team of volunteers for JRL Live!, to the friendships that emerge from hours/days spent together. :)

2014 was not without its troubles and worries, but even in the darkest, most tiring days, He has always been there. We see His grace and goodness in every elf placed in our life (Jomaine, Grace, Michelle), in the favour we enjoy with our clients, in every open (and closed) door, in every single opportunity. And in this knowing that we're working and living and crafting in merry motion, it tastes sweeter than any success. :)
Here's to an even brighter 2015, with faith. <3
