he’s standing on stage, and when he hears Ruby’s name called, he lets out a genuine shout of excitement, almost entirely missing his own name, which forces him to pull back and look back at Ivy and Ryan in surprise.
“Me?!”
and as much as he really doesn’t believe this was something he had earned, Isaac can’t deny the euphoric and humbled smile spreading across his face, and he’s even happier to accept the crown next to Ruby, hugging her tight.
Isaac, grinning wide, takes in the moment, thankful to everyone who had gotten him there, and he even tries to look back to smile at Greg who’s there along with him in the Prom Court, but Greg is preoccupied with being in the same vicinity as Bonnie, it seems. not everything is going perfectly, and he still needed to ask him what the hell was going on with that shove earlier, so he makes a mental note to give him some space, and find him again in a bit. til then, he’ll relish in this moment with the rest of the school. he actually won!
