#standingovation // Standing ovations aren’t about you, the speaker. Standing ovations are about the change the audience felt inside. One time I was in an audience of a few hundred in the front row learning from a poplar management guru. At the end, I was the first to stand and clap...everyone followed. After the event, the speaker pulled me aside and thanked me. He gave me this knowledge: “It just takes one.” It just takes one to stand to create a wave effect that gives thanks to others and creates positive change and memories for all involved. #FashionFriday For the black tie gala in Paris, I told @jskystyle that I was over the typical gown. I wanted something funky and eclectic and fun because I assumed everyone would precisely follow the dress code. He delivered with this custom suit that even took him out of his comfort zone. I think Fashion should be fun and we should take calculated risks and explore the full gamut of possibilities as long as you know what styles work for your body. I’m pretty fluffy right now because I ate EVERYTHING in Paris but I’m getting my mind all the way together now that I’m back but even still this hides my flaws well. Oh and my baby @damonhaley was the best accessory for the entire trip. Thank you for always riding with me wherever life takes me. #SoulfulSunday Spent the morning enjoying the Christian Dior Exhibit in Paris learning so much about the legend that is Christian Dior. How amazing to understand that even after his untimely death so young in his career that the house of Dior lives on. Other Creative Directors have come and gone but the respect for what he created remains true and I applaud the French for their commitment to preserving their history. I’m starting to hear the term “Do it for the culture” more and more but I have to ask what are you really doing for the culture? In the words of Jay-Z “what I look like drinking Belvedere when Puff got Ciroq?” We can and should do better because working together only makes us stronger and does not diminish our individual lights! #LearnFromLegends #DVDidIt #InnerCircleExperience
