4AM

I woke up to nurse baby girl. I wonder into the bathroom and go pee as per usual. Then drift into the kitchen as I'm still mostly asleep. I grab the first thing I see. Vanilla frosting. I take the lid off and as I start to peel the tin foil seal off I stop myself. What the heck am I doing?? This isn't normal. I shouldn't want frosting first thing in the morning. Something is wrong with me. What's wrong with me???

11AM

Omg hubby and I have a date without baby girl! Can't remember when I was able to just have him all to myself. I start talking about all of the research I have done on Keto. He is game he wants in on it to because he knows it will be easier on me.

I feel embarrassed as I tell him about Wednesday and the frosting incident. But I have to tell him so he know how severe my problem is. Maybe he can relate or maybe he knows what's wrong with me.

He doesn't. He feels sorry for me. He doesnt want me to feel bad. He supports me even without understanding.

8:30 PM

Pumping milk so I can feed 4 month old baby girl. I decide I am going to the market at my work. I am standing at the kiosk ready to checkout with a three musketeers bar, kingsized of course. I was thinking to myself that it's okay if I get it. I'll eat it in the car on my way home where no one can see me.

As I go to swipe my card I stop and think that the only person I'm hurting here is myself. No one else gives a crap if I eat a candy bar. I put it back and go on with my evening.

9 PM

I'm off work now. On my drive home all I could think about was how great of a job I did by eating healthy all day. Except for the pizza and cake I had, but that's okay because my boss got it and I only had a little. Justifying. So i decide I'll stop at dairy queen and get an ice cream for a job well done. As quickly as I pulled into the drive through I pull out and get on the highway back home. I'm mad at myself. I'm mad because I had somehow convinced myself or justified it to myself it was okay to ruin any healthy food I had for the day, obviously forgetting i had pizza and cake earlier. I was mad because I wouldn't allow myself to give into the craving. Then I was just mad about this being my life for the last 7 years.
