Accidental space to create So I slipped in a hole and hurt my ankle so I took it as an opportunity. That meant I had a day to slow down amidst the travelling, where I could make art with my small travel art kit. I started creating these small mixed media art owl stories thinking they were large owls on a page. They are works in progress and really are about playful connections in small moments. Inspired by the owls I had connected with earlier in our Indonesian adventure. They filled the page and somehow I felt they needed space. I love the way each artwork influences the next. There is a kind of magic in the way each layer transforms and adds meaning. For me this flowers and bird collection is inviting a sense of space and openness into my world. For me art is all about learning, and growing into your own stories. It’s how I make sense of my world. I’ve learnt to trust these guiding feelings as an intuitive artist. The full page owl became a double page. I’m not sure what layer is next but they are definitely waiting for flowers to be added to these garden spaces when I return home to Melbourne m. The owls fit beautifully into the emerging collection of mages of flowers and birds in backyard garden spaces. They create a connecting thread with the series I have been completing at home. Peaceful uplifting garden spaces that are calm and peaceful. #imperfectbeauty#wildsoulcreativity##soulstories#flowersandbirds#innerstories#healingarts#natureconnections#connectinglayers#mixedmediaart#intuitivestorytelling #creativedyslexic#artlifebalance#creativedyslexic#artasmeaningmaking#artwip#owllove#mixedmediaowls#travelart (at Kuta Mandalika, Nusa Tenggara Barat) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiheseuPJU5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
