Hello Vexy!! I have a question for you.. i have a Pygmy that kind of showed up one day named Cyan. Hes a larger miniature boy. He has this thing where whenever i go swiming or have a shower or anything he just has to join me or he starts to cry and throw a impressive temper tantrum. Is that normal behavior? Will the water damage his scales at all expecially since he loves the warmer water? Thanks for your help, T aka a worried Lamia carer

*Well, Pygmies do tend to prefer human company to that of other bitties, but that behavior is a bit extreme. It’s possible that he is afraid whenever you’re near water due to a perceived risk of drowning. Something may have happened to him before he met you that made him fearful of losing someone to drowning.

*If your Pygmy is becoming that upset and you don’t mind allowing him to join you, it won’t harm him. The moisture and warmth of the water won’t hurt his scales, and he’ll probably enjoy it if you give him a bath or pool toy. Hopefully seeing that you’re not in danger when swimming or showering will eventually set his mind at ease.

And I’m doing my best to be smart about it, I’m taking stretch breaks between posts and making sure I give my hands a breather. I’ve also got some naproxin on hand just in case, the anti-inflammatory effect helps a LOT when there’s a flare up.

I just wanted to thank you for helping all the bittys that come your way. It's nice to read about all these little ones getting love and help they need. -offers out a box of miniature plushies- I hope these will help some of the bittys struggling to settle in or even just needing a cuddle buddy.

I’m just doing what I can as best I can, but thank you. It really helps to know that the efforts I’m going through actually MEAN something and are appreciated.

And thank you for the plushies, I know Sunny will adore them and want to share them with everybody. He’s a bit precious like that…

Cell sat back, watching with a contented smile as the tiny Softbones scampered around the living room, a makeshift wagon made of a cardboard shoebox and the unused casters from a plastic cabinet dragging along behind him as he ran about. It was his third go of the room, and so far, he’d gotten Al to take four of the tiny toys, Van another three, Key Largo half buried under something like a dozen (the Brassberry had the HARDEST time saying know to those mismatched eyelights), and right now he was trying to convince Ed to take the fuzzy ball of brilliant yellow that might have been a duckling or maybe a chick of some kind.

They knew most of the plushies would end up wither back in the box or tucked safely into a drawer somewhere for proper distribution to the residents, but for now, it was nice just to let the little fellow run amok.

I read on Vex's blog you wanted to start a Bitty rescue blog. If you are interested I have a little guy who would like to help if you are interested since some bittys react better to other bittys. He is a Error bitty, chaotic good suprisingly and a great helper. His name is Code If you don't want his help its all good and we both hope you succeed!

I'm still working on getting the blog underway for the Still Here Recovery Center and Sanctuary, something I'm hoping to get mostly sorted out by the end of the week if all goes well. I have a little crew of my own that's helping me out (almost all of them are rescues themselves), but I know they'd massively appreciate the extra help. Especially Mama, since she doesn't really have hands being a Beast-type bitty. So long as little Code is okay with taking direction, I'd be more than happy to have him on the team, and if he doesn't, well, we're a sanctuary for a reason. :)
