you  take  their  comical  words  to  heart   \   you  always  have.   there  was  no  reason  to   \   yet  you  would  be  lying  if  you  didn’t  admit  that  the  other  possesses  an  intensity  in  their  general  tone.   a  bad  influence   \   such  a  harsh  label  for  one  so  young   (   you  find  yourself  astonished   \   it  seems  the  eyes  of  others   \   simply  do  not  see  the  same  visions  as  your  own  star  filled  eyes   ).   you  wouldn’t  allow  it   \   your  heart  wouldn’t  let  you.

❝    you  know   ,   a  flower  cannot  bloom  if  it  doesn’t  get  enough  sun.   enough  water   &   most  importantly  enough  love.   perhaps  i’m  too  soft   &   maybe  she’s  too  wild  for  my  gentle  heart  to  take  care  of.   however  my  heart  would  ache  if  i  had  to  sit  on  the  side  lines   &   watch  you  all  give  her  such  negative  titles.   i  don’t  think  i  can  help  change  her  ways   ,   but  would  it  pain  you  if  i  did  not  at  least  try   ?    ❞

you don't deserve happiness

a  heart  that  no  longer  feels  like  a  heavy  burden  to  bear   \   when  it  is  all  hollow  with  no  emotion  to  drag  it  down.   emerald  eyes  reflect  light  from  the  scorching  sun  above   \   yet  they  no  longer  glimmer  with  pride.   shoulders  dragged  downward   \   for  there  was  no  need  to  act  as  if  you  were  above  those  around  you.   you  wonder  what  it  is  that  truly  defines  life   \   what  purpose  does  a  beating  heart  serve  if  it  only  beats  to  spite  you   ?   (   when  your  lungs  inhale  to  exhale   \   why  does  every  breathe  feel  like  stopping   ?   why  was  it  that  you  who  has  done  nothing  but  bleed  scars  that  you  no  can  no  longer  see   \   deserve  redemption   ?   )

you  think  about  memories  of  the  past   \   there  wasn’t  much  to  remember   (   for  each  memory  was  desolate   \   you  exiled  yourself  to  isolation  deeming  it  a  worthy  punishment  for  all  you  had  sinned   )    &   you  were  left  to  feel  nothing   \   for  the  ashes  that  remain  in  your  lungs  were  the  emotions  you  have  burnt  in  a  raging  fire  that  had  died  out  inside  of  you.   you  wonder  why  it  is   \   that  you  continue  to  live.

you  don’t  deserve  happiness   \   you  remember  when  you  saw  the  other  champions  after  100  years  had  past.   you  remember  their  smiles  that  shined  brighter  than  the  sun   \   you  remember  their  tears  that  rained  so  harshly  from  cloudy  eyes.   yet  you  did  not  join  with  them  in  their  sorrow   ,   in  their  joy   \   instead  you  merely  isolated  yourself  from  the  rest   &   abandoned  them.   for  all  the  trouble  you  had  caused  them   \   because  you  were  not  perfect   (   you  did  not  deserve  their  welcoming  arms   \   you  did  not  deserve  their   ‘   i  missed  you   ‘   \   it  was  for  the  best  that  you  remained  a  ghost   )

such  a  simple  action   \   one  that  requires  no  real  effort   (   not  a  single  bit  of  effort  is  wasted   on  it   \   an  action  that  holds  meaning   \   that  does  not  ruin  you   \   such  a  gentle   &   kind  action   ).   a  smile   \   it  holds  a  place  on  your  heart   (   but  for  them   \   you  will  wear  a  gentle  smile  on  your  face   \   you  were  spring   &   there  were  flowers  waiting  to  bloom   \   to  see  light  for  the  first  time   \   however  there  was  no  need   \   you  withheld  the  intensity  of  spring   \   for  a  more  gentle  sun   ).   you  hold  her  tiny  hand  in  your  own   \   like  a  guardian  angel.   protecting  them   \   of  what  exactly   ?   a  question  you  yet  to  answer   \   yet  one  you  feel  no  need  answering   (   the  innocence  of  a  flower   \   that  alone  is  reason  enough   ).

❝    i  hope  you  didn’t  miss  me  too  much   !   i  apologize  for  the  waiting   ,   but  with  the  ingredients  i  bought  i  think  we  can  make  an  even  better  cake  than  last  time   !   will  you  promise  me  that  you  won’t  get  the  frosting  all  over  the  place  this  time   ?    ❞

she  cuddles  you   \   arms  that  warp  themselves  around  you   (   yet  it  felt  like  she  was  embracing  your  heart   \   how  it  warmed  at  the  sight  of  her   \   how  it  felt  at  peace  when  she  held  onto  you   ).   you’re  little  buddy   \   she  wishes  to  be  tall  one  day   (   oh  how  you  missed  her   \   only  a  day  apart   \   yet  when  did  a  day  feel  like  a  year   ?   ).   a  smile   \   gentle  on  your  visage   (   yet  it’s  intensity  knows  of  love   \   a  summer  sun  was  hiding  behind  a  gentle  spring   ).

so  of  course   \   you  retaliate  with  your  own  arms  that  gently  wrap  around  her.   if  you  weren’t  trying  so  hard   \   you  think  you  would  have  been  crying.   ❝    i  missed  you  so  much   !    ❞   please   ,   don’t  leave  me   \   you  wish  to  say   (   a  selfish  thought   \   you  refrain   \   how  you  strongly  refrain  from  pleading   \   you  had  to  become  accustomed  to  being  lonely  again   \   just  so  you  can  see  them  once  more   ).

TRY  ME.

mountain  king   \   gentle  heart   ,   soft  paws  tainted  in  an  ungodly  red.   yet  a  bit  of  water   \   rinse   ,   repeat  for  the  other  hand   &   your  sins  fade  from  the  surface.   the  stars  all  died  that  night   \   as  they  watch  your  sinful  hands  claim  another  soul.   they  did  not  deserve  this   \   you  sadly  bow  your  head   (   they  did  not  deserve  this  you  repeat  again  to  yourself   \   over   &  over   \   a  broken  record   \   each  repeat  is  a  dagger   \   it  use  to  be  one   \   you’ve  lost  count  how  many  have  stabbed  at  your  heart   ).   yet   \   you  persisted.   a  heart  can  only  take  so  much   \   that  it  turns  its  daggers   &   welds  them  to  be  an  iron  wall.

reluctant  hands   \   how  your  sorrowful  eyes  look  in  a  bit  of  disdain  at  a  reflection  of  yourself.   how  your  heart  grieves   \   it  pounds  against  that  iron  wall   (   it’s  pounding   \   beating   \   it’s  breaking   \   you’re  breaking   \   then  it  stops   ).   this  soul   \   clutched  in  your  hands  that  shake.   you’ve  known  this  feeling   \   this  warmth  it  emits.   it’s  not  a  nostalgic  memory   \   it’s  painful   (   &  again   \   another  strike   \   another  dagger  that  stabs   \   yet  the  iron  against  iron  clash   \   sparks  fly   \   embers  flicker   \   theres  a  burning  hatred   \   there’s  a  winter  storm  that  killed  your  garden   \   there’s  a  fire  that’s  burning  brighter   &  brighter   \   then  there’s  nothing   \   a  garden  that  once  was  perfect   \   ash   ,   snow   ).   there  was  a  war  in  you   \   the  winner  of  the  battle  didn’t  matter.   for  when  those  battles  had  raged  for  too  long   \   when  the  fighting  was  over.   what  did  that  leave  you  with   ?   nothing   ,   but  blood.

UT  SENTENCE  STARTERS.

it  came  with  a  bit  of  force   \   like  fire  that  spits  from  the  others  tongue.   yet  it  died   \   or  was  tamed   (   a  fire  not  meant  to  burn  things  to  ash   \   more  like  a  fireplace   \   in  a  warm  cabin  amidst  the  snow   \   one  to  warm  those  around  it   \   a  fire  like  that   ).   so  despite  the  rude  comment   \   you  smile   (   bright  like  the  sun    \   flowers  bloom  when  you  smile   ).   you  took  in  that  warmth   \   their  attempt  to  be  more  kind.   small  steps   \   soon  they’ll  blossom  into  something  more.
