Humanity
raven was raised by the monks in azarath, a race of people that are true pacifists. they formed her views on the world, but earth is much different than azarath. she has to fight on earth. but she still holds their teachings close. she volunteers her time whenever she can. at homeless shelters, food banks, nursing homes. she keeps change on her at all times, free food vouchers, snack bars to give to any homeless she might come across. she’s a good person.
{{ Regarding the headcanon that as Raven loses more control, her appearance becomes more demonic: Do you think that might mean she has to be "in control" of her visage, too? i.e., maybe her more human appearance is an illusion, or some sort of shapeshifting. Or is it more like involuntary physical manifestations? (It seemed in the JLvTT movie that she could almost WILL her demonic appearance on, like a change of clothes. Like it came with the use of more demonic-power intensive abilities.)
i hadn’t thought of it being what she actually looks like and her “normal” appearance being something of a glamour spell.
to me it’s involuntary, it’s trigon’s demonic influence forcing it’s self out. making her more like him, the one thing she doesn’t want to happen.
thinking about it, it could be a mix of both? a glamour spell to hide what she actually looks like and when she’d loses control the demonic features become much more define and prominent

Memories
the mirror that is a gateway into raven’s mind is not only for meditation but for memory keeping as well. she keeps them safe and secure deep within. if anything were to happen to her. the memories would be there to serve as some kind of fail safe, they would unlock and hopefully jog her from any kind loss of self be it from failing pray to her father or her emotions running haywire. but it’s not for certain that it would work.
Promise
raven’s mother made her promise never to let her emotions get too out of hand. to never let that raw emotional demonic side over take her. if she did she’d be giving into trigon. she’s too powerful if she’s emotional and that’s just what he wants to happen. so she must stay as calm as possible.
mouth, skin, hands TELL ALL

although raven would have a small mouth, being that she’s a very petite person, she’s got nice lips. they’re nicely plump but she’s a chronic lip biter and lip licker so they’re always a little chapped. her lips are also naturally darker than the rest of her skin, making it look like she’s always got dark lipstick on.

it’s very very plain that her skin is gray as fuck. it comes from her demonic side. it’s a blue gray which turns purplish when she blushes. there are a few beauty marks that dot her body. one on her left eyelid and one the right side of her nose. a few more all over. the skin itself is very soft. it’s the skin of someone who you’ve never think spent her time fighting crime. it’s magic.

raven’s hands are dainty. they look like they’ve never thrown a punch. her nails are kept short always because if they grow long they grow to spare points like claws. she does paint them black like a real goth would. she’s about that life.
