Inquisitor Isabela (2/?)
I realized that it is not that easy to be selfish in Dragon Age Inquisition: most side-missions are about helping people and you are usually not rewarded directly. I don't have the intention of skipping most side quests, so I have defined the rules as follows:
Any side-mission that involves killing people and looting their stuff is fine (a pirate's day-to-day).
Any kind of treasure hunt too, even if Isabela isn't supposed to keep the find (for example, Vivienne's tomes)
Treasure hunts have priority.
Isabela does missions that don't gain anything only if that doesn't involve extra traveling (so in the Hinterlands, getting Hindel's health potion is fine, cleaning the elf's shrine isn't)
Missions that require giving anything, like the healer mission in the Hinterlands, are a no-go.
Please note that the “Dagger of the Four Winds” and the “Dagger of the Six Coasts” form a heart on Isabela’s back.
The Crew
I go for the people that I believe would most likely be ending up on Isabela's ship (within the limitations of the game).
Rouge: Sera. I think that's a no-brainer, even with Varric around. But he is not much of an outlaw-type.
Warrior: Blackwall. He is a criminal on the run, so he is bound to end up on a pirate's ship. Bull would be the other option, but no way Isabela would let a Ben-Hassrath agent on board.
Mage: Dorian. In fact "none", but the game mechanics require one. Vivienne would be a complete no-go, and Solas is only interested in finding the orb. He wouldn't waste his time pirating..
Isabela asked Vivienne to kill that marquis who challenged her at Viv's party. He shouldn't survive challenging a fierce duelist.
