It's @insaneantics aka Chelsea's birthday! She is a lovely lady who deserves all the praise so everyone should go message her and wish her a good day and also just get to know her because she's fab. A lot of the Things I want to do for her still take more time to make, but what I'm going to do today: -onslaught of messages. Like. Okay she will get way too many snaps. -tumblr takeover! everything on my tumblr today will be Chelsea-enjoyed. I basically want her to want to reblog everything I post. 👌🏻👌🏻 -OTHER SAPPY FRIEND STUFF. Who knows. I'm a disaster of feels. Okay let's do this!
Hello! I've recently stumbled upon your blog and I feel very at home here! I have a question for anyone who wishes to answer, as it is something I am currently dealing with: Has anyone out there ever dealt with fellow spoonies being unsympathetic or degrading to your condition for any reason? How have you dealt with this? (Admin, you have my permission to post un-anonymously!)

I personally have not come across this, but I think that has more to do with my, um, attitude. I am very vocal about not putting up with it. But I’m not oblivious and I do see it happen all too often in our community. I’m also quick to shut that down whenever I can.
No one has the right to tell you how you feel or define your illness for you. Even doctors can’t know exactly what you are going through. If at all possible, I would cut these people out of your life. They are not supportive and are not going to be supportive and you need to surround yourself with people who are.
Look, it’s almost impossible to get the world at large to take us seriously and not constantly judge us or think that we are over-dramatizing our existence. There is absolutely no reason for someone who should know better to do that. I mean if we can’t take each other at our word, then how are we supposed to expect everyone else to. And life is hard for any Spoonie, there is no reason to decide who has it the worst because that is ridiculous. It’s all relative anyway.
It breaks my heart every time I hear someone say, “I know I shouldn’t complain because people have it worse than I do.” Because if someone having it worse than you means you can’t feel badly, then you might as well tell people they can’t be happy because other people have it better. And anyone telling you that isn’t worth your time or your precious spoons.
WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO COMMISERATE WITH EACH OTHER. That is the only way we are going to get through this and the biggest reason we run this blog. You are not complaining when you describe what you are going through. You are not having a pity party if you reach out for sympathy to help get you through this. And even if you were, I 100% support the throwing of pity parties. It’s how we all remember that WE. ARE. NOT. ALONE.
These illnesses and lifestyles isolate us from the rest of the world. There is NEVER any excuse for you to isolate another Spoonie from the very community they need to get through this in tact.
I’d love to hear what some of our followers have to say. And as always, feel free to let me know if you disagree or were looking for a different answer.

I'm proud of you for keeping your job and also for money. Did you ever find out if you have roast beef with au jus and if so, why are you not at my front door with one? I thought JJ was supposed to be fast and I asked for that sammich a week ago =P
Roast beef, yes. Au Jus, no. And, to be fair, I have a feeling that crossing zip codes might be a wee bit out of my jurisdiction. If you, however, came here and ordered within a five mile radius during my shift ~and~ also during my time every other order when I go instead of the other driver, well then. That would be a whole other situation, wouldn't it?
