Vibrant Beetles: An Acrylic-Marker Study in Insect Materiality

A fresh studio exploration into insect anatomy and raw texture.

This mixed-media portrait features two colorful beetles, rendered through a dynamic layering of acrylic paint and graphic markers.

By scratching loose, energetic lines over deep pink and emerald green fields, the composition captures the structural weight and armored shell of the insects. The scratchy, textured background of ocher and yellow lines creates a vibrating atmosphere that pushes the subjects forward.
