The Weight of Form: Oil on Canvas
In this original oil painting, I wanted to capture the physical and psychological gravity of a body in deep isolation. Painted from a distinct top-down perspective, the crouching, muscular figure is stripped down to its rawest shape, compressed under its own weight.
By pulling the pale, textured flesh tones out against a stark, pitch-black void, I focused entirely on the raw anatomy, the curve of the spine, and the intense tension held in the fists and feet.
