I’ve been feeling pretty blocked-up, writing-wise (let’s conveniently side-step that I still haven’t done any drawing hahahaaaaaaaa) but at least, after quite a long mope, I think I’m solving some of my Red Streak block. I have the broad bones of the whole fic planned out (and have since the beginning) but the parameters for adjusting the canon missions to fit my AU were getting pretty complex and mind-boggling. The logistics were scaring me off a bit. Revisiting the original game has helped, and I think I’ve found some good themes and ideas to expand upon in the AU version. I’ve figured out which components of the plot need to be re-emphasized or - in some cases - deliberately heightened, and where I want to focus. There’s still a lot of research to do, because these action/military chapters are always a chore, honestly.

But anyway - next stop: Feros!

Before I start writing more Red Streak, I absolutely need to get some more of A Pretty Taste For Paradox published, and I’ve got no excuse for the delay except that it’s really hard to write and I accidentally made a side-fic that is just as challenging as my main fic but for totally different reasons WHOOOPS.
