As his skin smoothly glides against my own in the motion of his hand taking my own, I take a moment ot cast my gaze upwards towards his face. I bask in the sight of him, looking over the soft features that hide under his mask, knowing what his face looked like under the fabric, but longing to feel it against my own. I flick my gaze upwards to his eyes and take in how the light catches the color of his eyes. If he notices me staring, he doesnt make a motion to let me know, keeping his gaze forwards. As I tear my eyes away I wonder if my eyes and heart were playing tricks on me or if his gaze flicked towards me as I looked away. If I looked back would I catch his eyes? I wonder if he thinks of me the same way I think of him. Most people my age would have their thoughts turn perverse, but I can only long to gently stroke his cheek as I lean in to place a gentle kiss to his lips. I long to play with his hair at all points of the day, to hold him close to my chest and protect him from all that could harm him, knowing in the end, I am the biggest danger to him. My thoughts turn sour as I wonder how much of his perception of me is natural and how much is my own manipulations. I cant help what happens, manipulating people to see me how I want them to instead of how I actually am. To clear my mind I look back, his soft eyes hadn’t moved from last time I looked, I wonder what he think’s of. I wonder again if he thinks of me as I do him… no matter what I must protect him with my life, even if it means removing myself from it. My last breath will be singing his praise and my adoration of him, I will move mountains for him, I will live for him, I will do anything he asks of me. All in the childish hope he could look my way just once.
