There’s time in every artist’s life when you don’t have an ideal artist studio or workspace, when you don’t have those four pristine white walls, a great big skylight, and nice wooden floors. Whether you like it or not, though, you learn to adapt. And I have adapted to some interesting situations. I had the challenge of illustrating @gatocaliali’s children’s book, “Pavo Finding New” between not one, not two, but three moves up north, and worked on kitchen tables and computer tables, picking up between meals and my partner’s work, never having a sense of space or ownership. The book got done, but it was an unconventional situation to be sure. In the end, though, the book was, and continues to be a huge success. The point is, setting doesn’t really matter, if the drive is there, the work can happen. #ashleybravin #artist #artistsoninstagram #instaart #artdaily #dailyart #artsy #laartist #contemporaryart #fineart #studio #studiopractice #artoninstagram #artistsofinstagram #artistoninstagram #insideartstudio #insideartiststudio #sketchbooks #gouache #illustration #artinspiration #childrensbookillustration #pavofindingnew #peacock #artpalette #iris #paintbrushes (at San Francisco, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/B79k6vvlcms/?igshid=16z6w92vnpvdt
