Vs once you (Sword) get to know them
I really like how calm Sparky is. Thier introverted nature contrasts with Sword’s more extroverted personality, and that’s a really charming detail—just like the fact that even though they’re opposites, they complement each other perfectly
"Sparky" is a very reclusive individual because of their otherworldly nature, but they do have a certain gumption to them! They trust Sword entirely because he was the one to help them get back to a more healthier weight, push past their terrifying alien appearance, and he managed to befriend them by visiting them regularly.
His company is also just as welcome in their relationship. Sure, he feeds them and makes sure that they're eating okay, but "Sparky" is grateful for his companionship and pure reliability in such a strange world that seems so different to the one they originally knew. Sword is their rock in such a strange land.
I am not even joking when I say that "Sparky" would die for Sword and would fight any dangerous threat to protect their only friend in the whole Inpherno. They would put everything on the line for Sword and that will come to show itself in the later chapters of the fic.
While I do think they would also find the other Inphernals they get to know as extended friends of Sword--I do think they would value Sword's opinion over all the others. This is just a reflection of how deep their bond has become over the month that they have been friends with him. <: )
Sword is friendly, kind, honest, and has a bit of naivete, but "Sparky" balances it out with caution, intimidation, loyalty, and protectiveness. They both compliment each other and support each other in various situations. Plus, Sword is hard to corrupt into a more greedy/evil Inphernal because of his sheltered upbringing, so he won't abuse "Sparky's" gifts and abilities like numerous other Inphernals would.
It's a mutual relationship that benefits them both.
"Sparky" gets a comforting friend that understands them deeper than the others while they are trying to understand their role in the world and Sword gets a large and loyal creature with mystical powers as a new best friend.
They are truly besties <3
