Do you have any gay role models?

Eh I can't say I've had many if any role models in my life, let alone gay ones. But if it means anything, I've always kind of appreciated the gays the were beyond the stereotype. You know, the ones you can barely differentiate from a straight guy, that aren't flamboyant, don't participate in drag and aren't complete perverts either. So I guess you could say I look up to them in a sense, makes me feel good to be gay when I witness that. Not that there's anything wrong with the stereotype, I just kind of don't want to be lumped in with that when people hear I'm gay. Nevermind, forget that answer, I'm going with Gaga and Kathy Griffin.

Who or what made you want to study medicine?

Hmm, I guess I've always been really interested in medicine from a young age. As a kid I'd always watch those medical shows or criminology shows obsessively, found them incredibly interesting, especially when they had real footage or autopsies. I wanted to be a coroner for the longest time until all those CSI shows came out and then everyone wanted to be one and I was like ah forget it.

When I grew older I would go through my mom's encyclopedia of diseases whenever I had a chance. It had pictures of many conditions which kind of grossed me out at the time but I kept reading I couldn't help but be interested. I would look up pictures on the internet, almost in an attempt to desensitize myself to it all (It worked).

Anatomy always interested me too. My dad was always quite the outdoors man and would bring us along with him to go hunting or fishing. As morbid as this may sound, whenever I would see him skin a fish or an animal, I would be so amazed, I'd see all those random organs that meant nothing to me at the time and I really wanted to know how they worked and to make sense of it all.

But truth is I never thought I'd actually be anywhere in the medical field until I met my boyfriend. The fact that he was working in the medical field was not only a selling point for him but it also made me very jealous.

Thanks a lot for the question I really appreciate it, I never really gave it that much thought before now. I kind of rambled a bunch though.

500th post!

I want to write a bit about some of my favorite followers but I figured it would be too long of a post, then I thought aww screw it I only get a 500th post once, so I'm gonna invade your dashboards with a long-ass post, sorry.

Within the last few hundred posts, a lot of my main followers from the past have vanished, sadly. I do, however, have a bunch of new followers that are really starting to grow on me, but I don't know too much about them so writing about them could be difficult. Presented to you in unbiased alphabetical order. Blueberrykisses: Glenn with the two ns is my favorite of all the Glenns. He's funny and entertains me with his use of .gif replies. Probably the person who I talk to the most outside of tumblr too, can't tell if he hates me yet, but too bad I like him.

Funkylosaurus: He's a pharmacist so that already puts him on my favs list, but he also writes some good posts. He's new to the tumblr world so go ahead and follow him. It should also be noted that he's quite attractive for a non-chubby guy.

Iamasecretnerd: She's likes "Margot & The Nuclear So and So's" which is instant-follow material for me. She's also adorable, really nice, communicates well with her followers, and is crazy about bunnies.

Insomniatica: Another person who's new to tumblr, I don't know much about him just yet but he's way better in french than I could ever hope to be. Writes a lot of personal posts and communicates well with his followers.

Late4tea: Fellow bear chaser who writes good posts, communicates well, likes a lot of my posts and draws good too.

Mentalplayground: Really nice guy, almost all of his posts are written by him which is something I can appreciate. He's funny and writes well too.

Miquidee: One of my more recent followers, don't know much about her but she's nice, she likes "Margot & The Nuclear So and So's" and she owns chickens. Yes chickens.

Myownlittleplanet: One of my nicest followers, and probably 'likes' almost all of my posts which makes me feel great and lets me know someone's reading 'em.

Nerowouldbeproud: Consistently on my favorite followers list and I know so little about him. I generally enjoy his taste in music and he's a fan of Miranda July which puts everyone in my good books.

Nervous-stalking: I really enjoy his blog and he draws really really well. However, he enjoys (keyword enjoys) instant-coffee which almost knocked him off my favs list, as a coffee lover I consider that a crime.

Nogoodnamesremain: I couldn't write this post without adding him to it, mostly because he's my boyfriend, but really it's based on the fact that he's awesome.

Paulheredia: Really nice guy but I rarely get a chance to talk to him anymore since he's all being awesome somewhere else. Fun to talk to, definitely worth mentioning.

Romaninoodles: She's really nice and almost rivals myownlittleplanet in her ability to like almost all my posts. But she really needs to set up her tumblr to allow /asks, because I can't communicate with her at all :(, not even through replies.

Spacewheredreamslie: Great guy, glad I tumblr-stalked him. Posts a lot of bears/chubbies and he's a great friend in real life. I actually don't know why he hangs out with me, because his awesomeness far exceeds mine.

Vituperations: She's intelligent, beautiful, and has a great personality. She writes some quality posts too, what else is there to say? Oh there actually is something else: she draws really well too.

Here's hoping I didn't miss anyone. I seem to repeat myself in these descriptions, but there's only so many ways to say 'this person is awesome'. But thanks a lot for following me.
