The Failure Reponse
Honestly, it has been a while since I shared an inspiregraph because it has been tough lately to find inspiration. I am currently in a situation where all my available planned options have fell through. I would share three lessons that are being imparted unto me during these times:
Failure and disappointments are continual events. Simply, events that do not meet up to expectations are constant and the key difference is merely our reaction to it. Make no mistake, certain disappoints leave us feeling raw on the brink of depression however build resilience that disappointments are constants
Success is not an entitlement.Throughout these experiences, I felt that certain opportunities were meant for me only and that any other choice must be blasphemy. At such instances pride can subtly camouflage as ambition when it comes to opportunities that are highly desired. For myself, it was necessary to remember improvements are consistently necessary regardless of how highly I may perceive myself.
Never stop..... I do not care if the earth breaks in half and you are thrown into space with a can of air and a life jacket. Once you have the breathe for the dream, pursue it. I recently came to terms that limits are always resetting as we push pass them. Limit the excuses and never stop in the face of these failures. Such an attitude builds your composure and your ability to manage difficult situations.
I want to end with this quote;
Most of life is hell, its filled with failure and lost, people disappoint you, dreams don't work out, hearts get broken and the best moments of life where everything comes together are few and fleeting. But you can never get to the next great moment unless you keep going....... (Sigourney Weaver 'Political Animals')
