Idk if u ever explained it on your blog but why did djss adopt your sona!!

IWAHHEHEHHEHEHEHEHHEE GEHEHEHEH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING WAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN SHARE NSR SELF INSERT LORE UEHUEHEJEHEHHEHEEH

So for a quick Sona lore refresher,I was not originally from Vinyl City! In fact I was VERY far from home when I accidentally got there. While looking for some place soneone trust worthy to help me during that time,I ended up getting into Club Planetarium!! And subsequently,I got in here right as the rock revolution began! Wuh oh

I witness the fight with B2J,Due to reasons I can’t decide yet,DJSS isn’t blasted off to space (reason I usually go with is I save him from it,but he still loses his district) we meet for realsies this time,I tell him I’m really lost,and the egotistical space dj takes me home!! After discussing with his boss about me,it’s decided it would be safer to keep me here until the revolution ends,as plane travel could be super dangerous during these times so…I’m sticking with him!!!!

So to get onto the question,WHY did he adopt me?

Welllllll I think it was a lot of reasons. For one,I just…really tapped into a part of him he wasn’t even aware was there to begin with!! As I was living with him during the revolution…I grew on him very quickly,much quicker than he would’ve expected. Perhaps it was my childlike wonder and positive outlook on life,perhaps it was my kindness I went out if my way to show to others…Maybe it was just fate. Maybe it was all three!!!! Or more!! Either way,it wasn’t despite our differences,but because of them that he wanted me around!!!! :3

Lani took me the longest to write and design, and i'm **still** writing their story! I know I want it to center around the theme of identity and developing ones' self, but it's a bit hard to write (expected!).

Lani is a 40 year old DJ specializing in the Budots genre (shrill 4-by-4 music from the Philippines, give a listen to DJ Love, the creator of the genre!), and have been influenced by other genres like hardstyle (?) and rave :)

They struggle with their identity due to being a frankenstein, and feels disconnected from their roots as a Filipino. They find comfort in music and find competition oddly fun.

As for the DJSS bit, I kinda wrote them to be his opposite in a sense. Lani does feel alone too, quite like how DJSS feels alone being on the top of his pedastal. The difference is how they handle it, Lani enjoys when people find them weird or question their existance, feeling like people are at least acknowledging them, but DJSS (at least in my analysis and after reading other people's analyses) chooses to let it fuel his ego and hide his everlong loneliness..

I did plan to make them childhood friends at one point, but I would like to keep their backstory a bit ambiguous or wait. I might upload it here once I finish writing more of their story!
