it’s a zona da moda (the fashion district)
On our first journey in The Big Apple, some of the city’s treasures were found merely a few blocks away from our studio. Perhaps fabric swatch heaven, Elegant Fabrics was our first stop, and I can honestly say with much pride that I have never been happier to see a sign that says “up to 20 swatches for free”. Though Elegant is a great swatch spot, our next stop is probably where i’ll be doing the majority of my shopping: Mood Fabrics. The infamous Mood is complete with beautiful cottons, silks, leathers, furs ,feathers and findings alike, and, you can purchase a lovely logo tote bag to complete your trip! Finally, the place that is black and white and read all over: Around The World Fashion Publications. From vintage Vogues to street style bibles, this magazine store has every piece of glossy paper event remotely related to fashion, and fortunately for me, an endless supply of inspiration.

Inspiration of the week
My Inspiration is my two uncles who are brothers who went through the same struggles on working so hard in school and worked long hours at there jobs. In the end, they both have great jobs that allow them to have a normal work shift, time off and not struggle through each day. They inspire me to achieve my goals, follow my dreams and work hard so I don't have to the rest of my life. They said “working hard in the beginning, allows you to get through all the struggles first so when you are closer to your dream job, you don't have to work hard anymore, it’s not a project that you can't achieve, only hard workers who have struggled will understand”. Self motivation and dedication is key to success, I’m continuing my vision on reaching my goals and dream job.
