Yodaville

All the Google Maps sleuthing of the Los Angeles "ghost streets" post reminded me of stumbling on a place called Yodaville—seen above—as previously explored here back in 2012. Yodaville is a simulated city in the Arizona desert, deep inside the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range, used for targeting exercises. It is truly in the middle of the nowhere, roughly midway between the Gila Mountains and the U.S./Mexico border.

Après la période Art nouveau, on retrouve en sculpture, à partir des années 1910, partout en Europe, un besoin de retour à plus de rigueur. Dans le domaine de la peinture, c’est la période des cubistes qui participe aussi de ce mouvement nouveau. Les grands principes Art Déco d’esthétisme seront édictés au moment de l’Exposition internationale de 1925 à Paris. On retrouve des lignes droites, des éléments figuratifs stylisés, des formes géométriques.

French architects plan London Eye-style 'water wheel hotel' on Seine and/or La Garonne

A plan to build a temporary hotel on the banks of the Seine in the form of a water wheel with rotating room pods is under consideration by Paris officials
