( himself? no. the meaning of life? certainly not. money? clearly no. ) but it isn't anything of the sort— it's a very simple pleasure, yet one he boasts of calmly but proudly, like he had won the world's greatest lottery: " it was a coupon, for a free plate of nachos. it was lying in the middle of the street and it was rained on— and it was probably expired—but the restaurant still took it from me! i think they felt bad for me . . . but i got my nachos! and that's the kind of deal you can never find, if you never get lost in life, " he sagely explains.
