GOD OF ACCELERATION To make wine takes at least 5-7 years. Good wine, 20 years. The ground must be ploughed, the seeds planted, the vines grown, they need to be watered and nourished. Then grapes will grow and you will have a harvest. The grapes will be picked, crushed, pressed, the juice removed, and then it will take time to ferment. In John 2, when water was turned into wine, Jesus took this entire process and compressed it into a moment. He bypassed the natural process and miraculously created the finished product. It wasn’t just good, it was the best wine. It wasn’t just a little, there was abundance. Our God is able to accelerate that which should take a long time. Yes, He works through patience and process, in preparation and perseverance. But sometimes He does a “suddenly”. Unexpectedly, He propels and launches you forward. Unplanned, He supernaturally open doors and makes a way. What should have taken months or even years can happen in a moment. The one who created and controls time can hit ‘fast forward’ and move things at an accelerated pace. What was the secret to supernatural acceleration? “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5) Ordinary obedience brings extraordinary miracles. What are you waiting for? Don’t give up hope.
