The building was designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry on a vacant riverfront plot. The building was designed in 1992 and was completed four years later in 1996. - The style is known as deconstructivist ("new-baroque" to the designers) architecture due to its unusual shape. Gehry originally named the house Fred and Ginger (after the famous dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers – the house resembles a pair of dancers) but this nickname is now rarely used. A tower made of rock is used to represent Fred. The portrait of John Lennon at Lennon Wall, Prague. - Located in a small and secluded square across from the French Embassy, the wall had been decorated by love poems and short messages against the regime since 1960s. It received its first decoration connected to John Lennon following the 1980 his assassination when an unknown artist painted a single image of the singer-songwriter and some lyrics. Since then, it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti, pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs, and other designs relating to local and global causes. - The wall continuously undergoes change and the original portrait of Lennon is long lost under layers of new paint. Even when the wall was repainted by some authorities, by the next day it was again full of poems and flowers. Charles Bridge (Czech: Karlův most) is a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of the 15th century. This new bridge was originally called Stone Bridge (Kamenný most) or Prague Bridge (Pražský most) but has been "Charles Bridge" since 1870. - The 515 meters long bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 1158–1172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. As the only means of crossing the river Vltava (Moldau) until 1841, Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town and adjacent areas. The Prague Astronomical Clock can be seen on the southern side of Old Town Hall Tower (Swipe for detailed picture). The clock, also known as Prague Orloj or The Horologe (derives into “Arloji” in Bahasa Indonesia, meaning: “clock”), is a medieval astronomical clock and the oldest clock that still operating. The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world. - The clock mechanism has three main components — the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; statues of various Catholic saints stand on either side of the clock; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures, notably a figure of a skeleton, representing Death, striking the time; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.
