Hello, I've been playing TS3 most of my life, and just recently for my birthday I completed my collection. Now my game has all expansions and stuff packs installed. Only problem is, now CAS freezes immediately (presumably because there is just so many cloths etc. to load). My game does not have a Thesims3/Game/Bin folder, how do I install this mod? Thank you RLH

Hi nonny, congrats on finishing your Sims 3 collection :) Unfortunately, the more packs you have installed, the laggier the game gets... I assume you want to install LazyDuchess's smooth patch for better performance? It goes into the installation folder where your game executable, TS3W.exe, is located. If you have a shortcut to The Sims 3 on your desktop, you could check the properties of the shortcut to see where the original path is located. It is usually something like

C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\ElectronicArts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin It might also be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin, depending on what Sims 3 version you have. I hope this helps!

Hello Hello!!! Recently I’ve helped some non-coding peeps set up skins they may have purchased elsewhere, and as such I’ve decided to fully open up this service for all those who may need it!

Hiii, sorry for the inconvenience, I have a problem when I want to sort the files when I install ukagaka, I'm really inexperienced with knowing what to move and what not. I put all the files (attached first photo) in a new folder, but I get this error box (attached 2nd photo) and a folder with the name temp appears. Sorry if this question has already been resolved, English is not my first language :(

The temp folder is normal! My SSP installations have it as well. It's just a folder for files that SSP creates but only keeps temporarily.

It looks like you have all the other necessary folders and files, although I don't see ssp.exe in your screenshot. Is it in the same place as your other files? Also, are these files on your desktop, or are they now in a folder? You definitely do not want to keep SSP directly on your desktop.

The best thing to do is to install SSP directly into a folder made just for it, and then not touch the file structure. If you decide to move SSP, you need to move everything that it has. The error message you're getting is because the exe sees it's missing critical files and can't finish booting. (If the exe is indeed in a different folder, then it won't see those files even though you have them.)

SSP's folder should look like this when properly installed:

If your SSP is in a folder and all your files match up with this, but you're still getting an error, then the issue may be something else. Feel free to reach out if you're still having trouble, and we can try to help locate the issue, or walk you through installing a new version. If you already had any ghosts/etc. installed, we can help you transfer those over.

If you reach out again for help finding the issue, please provide a screenshot of the folder you have SSP in, including all files that are present there. The more info we have the better we can help!

How do you install HR texture mods in ME3? Whenever I try it with ME3 Explorer 3.0 it always crashes my game, causing me to uninstall and reinstall. What am I doing wrong?

It’s always good to start with the starter guide on the official ME3Explorer wiki, then do an initial test with a small texture mod (preferably one that only applies to ONE (or very few) PCC file(s), which you back up before hand. That way, if it doesn’t work or your game starts crashing, you can copy the vanilla PCC file(s) back in, and your game should function fine again. Make sure you meet all the prerequisites and your virusscanner isn’t in the way of the toolset functioning properly.if you still run into issues after following the wiki and those instructions, you can leave a help request with detailed report either on their official discord or the official toolset forums. You can also come back here, but there’s a good chance I’d have to send you to either of those places eventually anyways. Good luck!

I found an easy fix for installing old Nancy Drew games.

This has worked for MHM and up on Windows 10 (which has messed up basically everything on my computer, but whatevs).

1. Go to folders on your computer

2. Under the little “This PC” tab in the sidebar, select “Documents”

3. Right click on empty space within the “Documents” section and select “New Folder”

4. Title the new folder whatever you want, but it makes sense to name it after the game.

5. Install the game

6. During the installation process, it will ask for a destination for the game information. Select browse and it will give you a list of options. Find the “This PC” tab and under that heading will be the “Documents” tab and under THAT tab, you will be able to find the folder you just created. Select it and finish up the installation.

This fix has worked for “ini” error messages and any messages that say the computer cannot find the game.

(I’m honestly just excited to be able to play the old games without getting my dad to help me with the computer.)
