1962. A time when we looked at a cow and thought, "You know what this needs? More dehydration and better branding." Carnation is pushing their "Magic Crystals" here, which sounds less like a dairy product and more like the power source for a low-budget sci-fi laser. You have to admire the sheer aggressive wholesomeness of the fruit backdrop; they are trying very, very hard to convince you that rehydrated dairy dust is just as natural as a fresh plum. It’s the wholesome nourishment of milk, minus the fat, and arguably minus the milk part, too.
