A box arrives at Myles’ doorstep. It’s not a large one, but on further inspection it holds something sweet. The scent of fondant and frosting wafts through the box, and on opening it, it’s a nicely frosted, yet strangely simple, vanilla cake — with the sender being identified as Shao, with a note that says, “You should cut into it. Like, right now. There’s a surprise in there :)”
( I can’t wait for Myles to cut open the cake and find Shao’s head inside it , i say at work KNCDKNDND)
The minute he sees the box is from Shao, Myles’ eyes narrow. He doesn’t even remove the package from the outside stairwell, too concerned about its content for it to be allowed in his house. When it opens, lips purse together in frustration - a cruel gift. He’s torn between his love to cake and the lack of trust he has for Shao to not have done anything to it.
Squatting down in front of it, to reads through the note and then looks back to the cake. Then the note. Then the cake.
Either it’s going to be something amazing, or the worst thing he’s ever seen.
Disappearing into his kitchen and then back out into his stairwell, he resumes his squat and cuts deep into the center outwards. It’s weird, the push back is unnatural, and he swears he can see something black. Getting a decent sized triangle out, he pulls a slice out and--
