3. Whatās a very unpopular band youāre into?
ok. iām going to assume this means unknown instead of hated lol. i think the most āobsureā band i listen to is probably anopheli, which is this emo crust punk (thatās the label they use idk shit about it) band a friend recommended to me and i really love- their music is really atmospheric and perfect for studying. honorable mention goes to thorrās hammer which is this doom/death metal band from the 90s i discovered on pandora in the 11th grade- super fun to listen to. Both bands have female vocalists which is pretty fucking cool imo listen to women in extreme genres
5. Which rare recording of any band would you like to possess?
i mean, anything in the world? its an old mcr demo for sure: like phantoms forever or dreams of stabbing and being stabbed or whatever any of them im not picky š„ŗ
8. Which song do you think everybody should listen to at least once in their lives?
if its not my chemical romanceās whole discography it would be Iron Maidenās Rhime of the Ancient Mariner.... that song is so fucking good.... plus it's a reimagining of a classic tale, the whole human desire for storytelling and the way music fulfills that thing that I love
10. Any bands you got into after seeing them live?
fun and unfortunate fact, i have only been to one concert it was hozier a whole year ago (it wasn't unfortunate to see him, he was absolutely wonderful but I wish I'd been to more shows š).... time isnāt real..... but no i very much was already into hozierās music lol
11. Any bands your friends got you into?
oh yes, so so many. my gaggle of friends in middle school got me into metalcore, the people iāve met through my chem got me into sleater-kenny and skating polly and the academy is and so many more, i was in a metal club last semester before the pandemic shut down college and got into so many new bands through that. i scavenge music recs like a pro
19. Which band would you like to see live one day
my chemical romance hopefully š but also i'd love to finally see iron maiden live with my dad, he's always wanted to take me

4. How do you tend to discover new music?
I have a lot of processes for finding new things. mostly though, i make connections! researching one band always gives me at least 3-4 associated acts and you can keep that process going forever! i also love watching video essays on music history and get a lot of recs through the video or even the comments. then i also watch what other people are talking about- friends, random tumblr users, i read/watch music journalism solely for discovering new things. I am familiar with a lot of music I've never listened to because of this but I'm finally making headway, mostly because of the mcr hyperfixation that wants me to listen to the members influences š
17. Is there a song that came out this year that you like?
I don't stay too up-to-date with current releases BUT! i still managed to hear some new tunes- I really enjoyed The Used's Blow Me/Cathedral Bell, Midnight's Fucking Speed and Darkness, and Fiona Apple's I Want You to Want Me. also Vile Creature's Glory! Glory! gave me fucking CHILLS that song is incredible.... oh and also all of megan thee stallion's singles this year were great

Opinion on cover design: oohh very interesting, not something i would notice from a distance but quietly intriguing
Favorite song: probably surgeon, that guitar part was so sexy

Underrated track: i donāt know the Consensus but i would guess northern lights is not given the love it deserves bc its amazing
Overrated track: cruel- that seems like the single? and i wasnāt super into it comparative to the others
