The meeting place Louise had suggested seemed ideal in the daylight, but illuminated only with a flickering light above and empty of people, she was growing nervous. She snuck out, her father having wordlessly disappeared into his bedroom less than an hour earlier and leaving his daughter to shimmy down the fire escape, making her way into the park close to midnight. Still, she wasn't entirely sure the strange fellow teenager she had met days before would actually meet her, perhaps he had even forgotten, and her own nerve would surely soon abandon her too. Gaze scanning the path as far as the poor lighting would allow, she didn't notice figure appear at her side until he spoke up and, despite the familiar voice, she had to admit she jumped out of her skin.
"F-fuck!" Looking to Marty wide-eyed, she swatted at his arm but, nevertheless, offered a good hearted laugh. "You scared the shit out of me... I didn't think you'd show."
