Polishing the final touches on my installation that is this month in Booth Gallery
This design brings together work I have been developing for the past 5 years. Using an architectural framework based on ancient Roman and Venetian wall design, it unifies many sub-themes revolving around the idea of exoskeletal protection vis emotional vulnerably.

If you know me, you might know the chess-checker pattern is one of my absolute faves. There’s some great symbolism behind it too. Check out the article ‘The Checkerboard A Mystical Symbol’ by Tanya Gabriella I had to post, this, one of my favourite art experiences. A 2017 instillation from artist Leonardo Drew, an incredible artist who’s pieces I think you have to experience in person for its scale and depth. “For the de Young Museum, Drew has conceived of the expansive installation ‘Number 197’. Spanning three walls in the museum’s atrium, it comprises a multitude of sculptural elements created and arranged in response to the unique context of the de Young’s landmark architecture.” -deYoung 🔲✨ #art #fineart #instilation #deyoung #checkerboardpattern #chess #patterns #LeonardoDrew #blackandwhite #photography #takenwithiphone6s #museum #inspiration #cool #material #throwback (at de Young Museum)
“Self Portrait of a Chaotic Mind” Acrylic and Chalk Pastels on paper. 2018. This piece has taken almost 6 months to get to this point and I’m so happy to see it hanging up in the #finagallery in the #ccs building here on the #ubco campus. #art #instilation
