oh , if the gods could see her now . the feared queen of darkness and thorns , a bundle of nerves and fear among mortals for no other reason than she had been victim to a sleeping curse . of course they would never take into consideration said curse could overpower even zeus ..

                  “  i hope this ends soon . the idea of being                      trapped here without knowing who anyone                      is , is wearing on my nerves . i need a drink .                      how about you ? want anything ? ”

she asked the young girl she decided seemed the least threatening , still glancing around them every so often for any sign something might go down . she couldn’t wait to return back to the underworld where she could r e l a x .

    this was utterly ridiculous. he shouldn’t be feeling like this right now -- stomach twisting, tightening painfully. he’d just been passing by, that was all. roaming about his home, delighted at the sight of the people from auradon having a grand old time. and then his gaze had caught sign of a line in front of one of the activities. and there was jackson, currently locking lips with someone. peter didn’t know why  he was having this sort of reaction. hardly understood why it felt like a knife twisting into his gut. but he hated it. head turning, the boy stomped passed the booth, refusing to even look at jackson again as he darted off into the forest.

would it be utterly too egotistical to think that the doom and gloom now settling over auradon via unexpected snow was somehow his doing? he was back and so was winter -- the most solemn and foreboding of seasons. he truly hoped that this wasn’t some kind of omen for his marriage. duchess’s ire towards him was completely justified, and if the children iced him out, then he deserved that, too. but ultimately, his departure was in service to them. thomas, typically a man who always knew the right thing to say, simply had no idea how to explain any of this to his wife or family. as they sat at the dining room table, he at least counted himself lucky that she let him inside. “you have to know, i was always going to come back.”

    if this wasn’t the perfect place to do something, then harry wasn’t sure where would be. magic was ever present within neverland, the mermaid lagoon just called to him. staring out at the water, harry managed to tear his gaze away to peer up at his mom. “--i wanna learn if i can fully transform. i get if it ain’t possible since i’m only half but i wanna try.”

“Hey, do you maybe have a minute?” As hard as it was to admit, Eden had been growing more curious about her mermaid heritage. Perhaps Xena wasn’t the best source of information on her particular breed, but it was a starting point. “I was hoping we could talk.”

     soft laugh comes forth just from her shocked reaction. brow quirks, amusement dancing in dark hues as he gives a small nod. “i do.” even more confirmation to the words that had been spoken just moments before. “you’re a curious thing, that’s for certain. so full of innocence and wonder.” far from what he had become over the eons. too much cynicism had set in, becoming ingrained into who he was. “it’s admirable.”

   ugh. this was all so frustrating. sure, harry was still hesitant whenever it came to all of this but he needed to understand it. needed to learn. “an’ that’s why i’m ‘ere right now. i want tae learn ‘bout it. at least let me understand more ‘bout it so i can make a decision.”

She’d known going to the beach had been a miserable idea, and her current situation was only serving to prove her right. “Just...do it quickly so we can be done here.” Given her lack of trust in merfolk of any kind, she was keeping her tone surprisingly calm, if not a bit short.
