Interior of the crypt with the tomb of Louis Pasteur, Paris
Institut Pasteur, Dakar, Senegal, 2019.
Currently watching Z Event, a French charity event on Twitch, with 48 streamers. They’ve already gathered 1,6M euros for Institut Pasteur, and it’s ending at 1am.
So far, for the donations goals:
one of the streamer is gonna do Montpellier to Marseille with his bike (which is like at least NINE HOURS).
another is gonna get a terrible haircut (a Mowhawk with a crazy color)
a bunch of them are gonna stop smoking
another is gonna do the Paris’ marathon with a soccer T-shirt from a team he hates (and he’s gonna livestream it)
this guy convinced a bunch of other streamers to do it too (they are all gonna die)
They also:
did a tackling contest while wearing a sumo costume
Naruto-runned around the whole place
spilled coffee on the (carpeted) ground AND on computers/controlers (and they own none of them)
wrote a fanfiction about the streamers and Balkany (a French politician who has recently been put in prison)
did a paper-rock-scissor contest with each loss = 1000€ given by the streamer
...
It’s crazy out there. They still haven’t added the donations from the T-shirts selling, so they’re definitely going to the 2M.
Last year they reach 1,1M, while barely sleeping, doing questionable Just Dance, doing questionable flute improv, trying to be good Bob Ross, creating a song call “J’adore le zboub” which is basically a tribute to the singer’s penis (that was put on live national radio during that night. Yep, you read that correctly), and so on.
I’m witnessing history. ‘Cause you have to realize it’s a French event. For 52 hours. It’s nothing. It’s CRAZY. I love being French today.
4 hours to go.
