I’m having trouble finding an example of a positively interpreted racial statistic.
Many of these statistics have an institutional racial bias which creates negative interpretations of race socially. Those negative interpretations say things that are only true through the lense of “it hasn’t changed” but they are distorted. I’m not saying it has changed, but the negativity prevents me from using the information to help. It’s de-motivating.
These statistics could be building negative stereotypes rather than helping by giving useful information.
I can’t find an example of something that I’d actually want to post, so use the charts rather than the interpretation of the charts. Interpret them yourself.
