Among the great men’s of our era, @sebastiao_salgado_photographs is particularly vibrating in my heart. His lifetime engagement to depict humanity in the most difficult times is an exemple for me, as a men and artist. And even more than that, over the past decade, he managed to capture some parts of the nature essence, forms and beauty. I feel more and more the need to illustrate the world where I live, its conflicts, crisis and evolutions but also the great things and great men’s living on this planet. Wacken Open Air plants 5,000 trees in Brazil

In view of the horrifying images of burning forests, the team of the Wacken Open Air decided in December 2019 to refrain from sending the usual physical Christmas greetings. Instead, the metal festival joined forces with the German branch of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Instituto Terra to initiate a fundraising campaign in benefit of the Mata Atlantica region in the Brazilian rainforest.
