Okay so via ask game I found out you have a band. Is it Midwest Emo? I love Midwest Emo. Do you share what band you are in on here or does that dox you?

What is your favourite band that is not your band?

It is 100% Midwest emo, although sometimes we do stray a little further over into pop punk. We are called Insufferable Lacrosse in the true spirit of the Midwest, and this awesome name has already been printed on tshirts for us 😆. We play mostly originals, but we do some covers too, but that's sometimes difficult as there's only three of us and obviously all emo has a like a billion guitar parts.

I don't really share much on here due to the quality of the recordings at the minute, as we just record on our phones. We're more of a "live gig" band tbh. I can add photos of our logo and tshirts and as I go through the process of making everything if you want? Lmk, I'll put it under an Insufferable Lacrosse tag.

Not really bothered about doxxing myself anymore cause i know my bestie is on here and he will literally not care in the slightest about what I've interacted with. Also no publicity is bad publicity, right? Effectively, we need all the exposure we can get to get us off the ground.

The thing for me is that we really wanna get an album out this year, or at least a small ep, but it'll probably go on bandcamp and YouTube rather than Spotify, and we'll probably only get ten or so views in total. It would make me so happy if we got big, not famous, and just enough that people knew about us. We're gonna start playing a few more gigs this year, and I've been in contact with my local festival to see if thay can get us a spot on the running order. Not bad for a college band ig lol. We do have a gig later this month, and I've invited a couple of my friends who I know love Midwest emo, but i haven't prepared them for the big surprise, which is that our last song is Re-Do. I hope its a good surprise lol

I get a lot of my influence from Modern Baseball and Sorority Noise, but I find recently a lot of my writing is more adjacent to The Front Bottoms or Oakwood. BTW my favourite band is a tie between Modern Baseball and Sorority Noise lol. Honestly, the basslines in emo are so much fun, and I love being able to write them myself, although sometimes I wish I hadn't made them so complicated.
