She looked up as the sound of something snapping echoed in the air. 

“Huh?”

Her hazel eyes searched the area carefully, thankfully there was just enough light for her to clearly see her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of place but that didn’t mean that they weren’t. A shiver ran down her spine, it was probably a good idea to head back now, especially if she was hearing thing. 

Giving her surrounding one last look around she quietly turned around and began heading back the way she came. It wasn’t long before the brunette stopped again as a crunching sound fleeted to her ears. 

Was someone else out here?

Another crunching noise entered the air and she shifted into a defensive position. That particular sound had been much closer than the two precious noises. Whatever was out there was getting closer and if it turned out to be something hostile she would be prepared.

“Who ever’s out there show yourself.”

While it probably wasn’t the best idea to call whomever it was out, it was better than them catching her off guard. She raised her hands higher as she spoke again.

“I’m waiting.”
