Lily laughed and shook her head as once more her friends encouraged her to partake in some of the spiked punch. Standing up, she disregarded their protests as she did another sweep of the room to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and no first years were getting too left out or homesick. Suddenly, she caught sight of Severus heading towards her, and, in a panic, she grabbed the nearest person to her and spoke rapidly. “Could you do me a favor and pretend that we’re having a very engaging and enjoyable conversation?”
