Intel 80287 Math Coprocessor upgrade!
My Commodore PC40-III has been successfully upgraded with the 287. I don’t know what I’ll need it for, but I wanted to add one.

Intel 80287 Math Coprocessor upgrade!

Just configuring a few things on the 5170, now that it’s finally out of the box.
287 installation went fine, as did the second floppy disk. RAM is going to be a bit of a pain going forward while I fill the gap of 128K above the 512K base memory. I also need to get a proper piece of software transferred onto a floppy for preparing the MFM drive.
80287
And it works!
It's in!
Now I can perform floating point arithmetic ^w^
Look what arrived today!
(Hint: it's the intel 80287 FPU I ordered)
