Dear future me

Dear Future Me,This is Present Me here to say that we have fucked good shit up in the past. We’ve been angry, and bitter, and mean. Our temper has hurt more people in ways we have yet to realize. We’ve been sad, and broken, and lonely. It sucks when we meet someone who can cut us deeper than the one before. But I hope that when you read this, you have reached the point where you are doing things for yourself now. The world is cruel, and people are cruel, and our life has been cruel. Those facts are here to stay. That aside, nothing can be as cruel as the hate we harbor for ourselves. I hope that you are healing, and loving yourself more than you ever have before. May you wake each morning and feel stronger and validated in your existence — you deserve to exist. I don’t care about what we have heard before. We deserve to exist. Do what you love for no one else but you. Share your love with everyone, and especially those that love you back. I plan on being around for a while, and I’m going to be a fortunate one.
