Partially Informed Persons and the Dangers of Misinformation and Ideological Blinders
I want to share with you an example of shitty logic and partially informed reasoning. Here's the general layout of the argument with notes from myself. Read the post first.
Premise 1: Denying dichotomous gender identities is racist Premise 2: Many non-Western cultures have more than two designated genders Premise 3: Denying non-binariness equivocates invalidation of all cultures with more than one specified dichotomous gender role Sub-premise: Hence, supports imperialism Conclusion: Therefore, anyone who denies non-binary genders is racist.
It's partially informed complacency masquerading around as advocacy (not to be confused with "complaisant"). You take Q, add A, add B, then C, then somehow wind up back with Q. It's a tautology. If anything, this would make you a bonified sexist or misogynist, and this person misinformative.
