muse a and muse b have been texting for years on end on an app (one that doesn’t force people to share pictures of themselves) and never find out what one another look like. all they know are the basics: each other’s age, town, and random personality traits they had picked up from all the talking. muse a then moves to the town they know muse b lives in to live with their dad, where they end up falling in love with someone they don’t realise is muse b. they continue to text while muse a feels guilty about falling in love with muse b in real life (who they aren’t aware is them yet) because muse b had admitted feelings over text a few months back despite them not knowing what they look like. muse a continues the ongoing search of finding muse b outside of the phone, oblivious that it is actually the person they’re newly in love with. what happens when muse b finds out it’s them and that they didn’t tell them they moved to their town??
One would think working at the local book store slash coffee shop would be the most ideal to find the person you’ve been speaking to for the past few years. Well clearly, it was easier said than done. No one that fit her ideal description was here...however her new boyfriend was perfection and maybe she shouldn’t be so hung up on someone she’s never met before and yet...she wanted to meet him. Just once. But Zoey couldn’t tell him she moved here, could she? God, she was the new Joe Goldberg...”Oh...you.” Zoey smiled softly at the sight of coffee and a ham and cheddar sandwich placed in front of her. She’d been texting her long-term friend only for it to stop the moment he appeared in front of her with her lunch. It was going for 4 in the afternoon and it was the quieter time of their day...however Zoey wasn’t sure she was in the mood to talk. “Thank you.” Zoey smiled softly and she leaned across to kiss his lips, accidentally knocking her phone over and she scrambled to grab it before he did, praying she locked it. God that was all she needed right now, how would she explain to him the texts? “Here, let me look-up the times for the movie tonight...I’m so eager to see baby Simba.”
