Printable DLQs

In the past week I've been working on a potential physical manifestation of Daily Language Quests. I wanted to see if my results from ideation would be as potent in a physical / notebook form.

Here are some of the DLQs I've designed. I believe these to be (at least content-wise) quite close to the result I want to achieve with lin'guage. For now, they all target Swedish, as to retain consistency during the project.

I am pleased with the result and would still expand on these. I do believe that producing a high-fidelity web mockup of these would be quite beneficial. I realized that audio, video and hyperlinks could play a significant role in language learning in the case of lin'guage. More on this next week!

lin'guage™ Customer Journey Map

Here's a first view of how lin'guage as a service might work from the learner's point of view. I'll continue expanding on this with more maps and ideas, such as a full service journey map including all of the service stakeholders as well as flow wireframes for potential webapps, mobile apps or hardware touchpoints of the service. Zach Lieberman

I was lucky to watch a presentation by Zach yesterday, it was incredibly inspiring and my first exposure to Open Code.

Essentially Zach works on digital interactive art?? He seems particularly interested with drawing and mapping our movements to create digital imagery or exaggerating our movements.

He presented some really inspirational work, eye writer being the most "emotional" in way. He mentioned that he searches for the open mouth moment, creating experiences that cause peoples mouths to open subconsciously with amazement. He also mentioned the "granny test" when the elderly participate and play it also suggests you've got it right.

I would love to make experiences at the level he achieves, the work he does I believe is what design should strive for and eye writer encompasses this as it is really improving someone's life. 

Interaction design can be so intangible, flat and passive at times he makes it a truly immersive experience, I hope this is the future of interaction design and not just more touch screens.
